Hi Shantaram,
ReplyDeleteIf I am not wrong, this multi coloured DBS building was where the movie moghul of South India A.V.Meiyappa Chettiar started his Saraswati Stores, dealing in gramophone records.
Very eye-catching and fun!
ReplyDelete@ Karthik: You're right, of course! And then it was a dosa joint for a while...
ReplyDelete@ Hilda: You said it!
It was called AVM's dasa dosa ....
ReplyDeleteThey used to have outstanding 'rasa vada'. Yes, still remember it. And a famous ice-cream (a whopper) called Earthquake - used to be huge.
ReplyDelete@ Ram: Didn't they also have another branch of Dasa Dosa somewhere else?
ReplyDelete@ Neti: You'd remember that, wouldn't you? :)
