A couple of days ago, I noticed that even this not-so-sophisticated display has been taken down. Granted that Chennai's weather is fairly constant, but we'd still like to know how hot and humid it is!
There was Chennapattanam and then there was Madras. About 357 years later, in 1996, she became Chennai. And whatever she may be called 385 years from now, she will always remain the "Queen of the Coromandel"! Come wander around this blog. It will give you a peek into her soul!!

How's the weather?
A few months ago, there were some reports that the Nungambakkam Regional Meteorological Centre was planning to display weather bulletins in a highly sophisticated fashion at its premises on College Road.
A couple of days ago, I noticed that even this not-so-sophisticated display has been taken down. Granted that Chennai's weather is fairly constant, but we'd still like to know how hot and humid it is!

I think Mark Twain was correct when he said that everybody talks about weather and no body is able to do anything about it.
As a student, I used to wonder why the radio announced the Max/Min temp of air ports rather than bus- stands where more people can take precaution!
LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE AND EVERYBODY THE WEATHER WOULD HAVE BROUGHT THAT TOO DOWN.
