There must have have been about 100 or so families living there. Men and women tied their lungi's at chest height!Also, the owner of Kennedy Book House, Mr. Krishnan, at Rayala center, Mount Road, was a Burma evacuee and known to my father. lastly, we had petrol bunk brands like Burma Shell !
